You can request deletion of your Tensu account and associated personal data from the Android app or without using the app. Tensu uses a controlled deletion process because some rental records are shared between tenants and landlords.
Request deletion in the Android app
- Open Tensu and sign in.
- Open Profile, then Privacy.
- Select Delete account.
- Review what will be deleted or retained, then select Start deletion request.
- Complete the identity check, type DELETE, and confirm the request.
The request is scheduled with a 14-day cancellation period. You can return to the same screen and cancel it before the displayed deadline.
Request deletion without the app
Email privacy@tensu.app from the email address connected to your Tensu account. Use the subject Tensu account deletion request and state that you want your account deleted.
We may ask for limited information needed to verify that you control the account. Do not send your password, payment-card details, or unnecessary identity documents by email.
If you cannot access the connected email address, explain that in your message. Support will provide an appropriate verification method before processing the request.
Data deleted, disabled, or anonymized
When the request becomes due, Tensu deletes, disables, or anonymizes account data that is no longer required, including:
- your sign-in identity and direct profile contact details;
- your avatar and nonessential profile data;
- device identifiers, push tokens, notification preferences, and the notification inbox;
- active Rental Passport share links and Passport score data;
- public-display consent associated with Passport references; and
- linked OneSignal and RevenueCat customer identities where applicable.
The deleted sign-in identity cannot be used to recreate or relink the deleted Tensu profile.
Data that may be retained
Some information may need to remain after account deletion, including shared leases, rent and deposit records, utility submissions, inspections, notices, maintenance records, documents, reports, chat messages, transaction records, and security or audit logs.
We retain only what is reasonably necessary for another party's shared tenancy record, legal or accounting duties, fraud and security prevention, dispute resolution, or legal claims. Personal profile fields are removed or disassociated where appropriate. Retention depends on the record and applicable law. Backup copies may remain isolated from ordinary use until overwritten under the relevant backup schedule.
For more detail, read the Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions
Deleting your Tensu account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel the subscription through Google Play before deleting your account to prevent a future renewal.
Processing and support
Requests are normally completed within one month. A complex request involving shared tenancy records may require additional verification or lawful retention. If a deletion step fails, Tensu keeps the request for retry or support review rather than silently treating it as complete.
Questions about account deletion or retained data may be sent to privacy@tensu.app.
